Vinyl fence

Vinyl privacy fencing, where your city allows it.

Solid and semi-private PVC that never needs painting. We check your parcel's material rules first, because in Miami-Dade the answer to 'can I put up vinyl?' changes at the city line.

What this is

Vinyl fence in Miami-Dade: the short answer.

A vinyl fence is a fence built from PVC panels, posts and rails, with the color molded into the material. In South Florida it is a popular privacy fence because it does not rot in the humidity and never needs paint.

It is also one of the most restricted materials in Miami-Dade County. Some cities ban it, some keep it off the street side, and most want a product approval or engineer-sealed drawings because the whole county is a High-Velocity Hurricane Zone. Allday Fence checks the rules for your exact parcel, builds solid or semi-private vinyl where it is allowed, and pulls, finals and closes the permit.

What we install

Vinyl styles we build.

01

Solid privacy

Full-height, no-gap PVC panels for back and side yards. The most common reason people choose vinyl.

02

Semi-private

Panels with spacing that let air move through while still screening the yard.

03

Mixed materials

Where vinyl cannot face the street, ornamental aluminum in front and vinyl privacy behind. Or vinyl spanning between masonry columns.

How the project runs

Rules first, then the quote.

01

Parcel rules

We pull the property record and check whether vinyl is allowed on each side of your lot before we price anything.

02

Approval package

Site plan plus the product approval or sealed drawings your city accepts, filed with the right office.

03

Install to spec

Posts and reinforcement installed to the approved detail, because that is what makes vinyl hold in a hurricane.

04

Final and closeout

Inspection scheduled, corrections handled on site, permit closed against the property record.

Common questions

Common vinyl-fence questions.

Can I install a vinyl fence anywhere in Miami-Dade?

No. Vinyl is one of the most restricted fence materials in the county, and the rule changes at the city line. Surfside's zoning code prohibits plastic or PVC fencing outright (Sec. 90-56.14). In Coral Gables, street-facing fences go through the Board of Architects and are expected to be masonry, coral rock or ornamental iron, so a plain vinyl front is unlikely to pass. Miami Shores, Miami Gardens and North Miami Beach accept PVC but want signed-and-sealed drawings or a Miami-Dade product approval with the application. We check your parcel's rules before we quote.

Does a PVC fence need a product approval in Miami-Dade?

Generally yes. All of Miami-Dade County is a High-Velocity Hurricane Zone, so a manufactured PVC or vinyl fence system generally has to carry a current Florida Product Approval or Miami-Dade Notice of Acceptance (NOA), or be detailed on drawings signed and sealed by a Florida-licensed engineer or architect. Which of those your city accepts is part of what we confirm before filing.

Is vinyl a good fence for South Florida?

For privacy it is a strong choice where it is allowed. PVC does not rot in the humidity, it never needs painting, and the color is in the material rather than on it. It is hurricane-rated only when the system and the installation are engineered to spec, which is why the product approval and the post detail matter more than the panel style.

Vinyl, aluminum or wood: which should I choose?

Vinyl gives full privacy with no painting. Aluminum is the open-picket workhorse and one of the most common pool-code materials here. Pressure-treated wood is the traditional privacy fence but needs upkeep in Florida humidity. If your city restricts vinyl on the street side, a common answer is ornamental aluminum in front and vinyl or wood privacy in the back.

Do you handle the permit for vinyl fence installs?

Yes. Every Allday Fence install includes the permit. We pull the property record, assemble the site plan and the product approval or sealed drawings your city asks for, answer plan-review comments, schedule the final inspection and close the permit against the property record.

How much does a vinyl fence cost in Miami?

It depends on height, linear footage, style, gate count and the permit package your city requires. We quote a flat fee after the property-record pull and the site walk, with the permit and inspection costs already included.
